Wow, I think this is the first time in my life that January has passed so quickly.
I’m
not sure if it is due to how much has gone on or if it is due to how busy I’ve
been
working at the Pub. I not only attended one food show in Atlanta, GA but
found
another one to attend in Columbus, OH. I have found several new menu items
as
well as new products that will be something so different for Mulligan’s.
I’ve
written down all of your suggestions, comments, ideas and I am working
very
hard to be sure that you’ll enjoy your time at Mulligan’s Pub and Bistro.
Please
remember, not everything can be done at once. As time passes more items
will
be crossed off the list of “to do’s” such as divider walls for the banquet
room,
extensive décor for the banquet room, patio roof etc. Again, my concentration
is
preparing for our opening and being successful in quality of food and service.
The
menu will be complete this week and you will be excited to know that we will
be
offering entrées and desserts and we have added appetizers such as
shrimp
cocktail, bacon wrapped shrimp and on the lighter side a fresh new dip and
spiced
crackers. This is just a sampling of what is to come.
The schedule is going great and will be completed by the end of February as
I
stated in January’s newsletter. April 1stwill be opening day and a Brunch is
scheduled from 11:00-2:00 and I would recommend that you make a
reservation
as I have several on the book now. The cost will be $10.99/person.
Wednesdays
are Family night and we will feature meals such as meat loaf, cube steak
with
mushroom gravy, spaghetti, fried chicken served with a salad, vegetable,
potato
and desert. It will be served family style and can be ordered for take home
for
you busy Mom’s. Thursday’s will feature Happy Hour from 4:00pm – 8:00pm
and
February 2012
we’ll have specials on appetizers and spirits. The 3rdThursday of each month we
will have entertainment as well as a new venture with the YMCA that will give
you
the opportunity to win $500 and the YMCA will receive $500. More details
on
that at the end of the newsletter. Friday, April 6 we will offer Walleye as
the
special. Beginning at 9:00pm a group from Ft. Wayne, IN, “Junk Yard Band”
will
be playing music in the banquet room for you to dance the night away.
Reservations are recommended for this event as well.
Saturday evening, April 7tha Ribeye steak will be the special with salad and
potato or vegetable. April 8thwe’ll feature our Easter Grand Buffet for $12.99
per person and we’ll have special baskets from the Easter Bunny for the
children.
Reservations are recommended for our Grand Buffet.
The date has not been set yet but there will be a Ladies Night Out and the
evening
will feature a style show. Specialty cocktails and dinner specials are in the
works.
This is all happening in April!
In May we will celebrate Cinco de Mayo and offer a Mexican night with
margarita
specials. Also on the calendar for May will be a beer tasting with micro
brewed
bottled beers so you can recommend what you would like for Mulligan’s to
stock.
The 3rdThursday in May will begin the YMCA number fund raiser. This is being
sponsored by the YMCA and will take place each month through December.
40
numbers will be sold for $25 each and at 7:00pm a number is drawn and if it
is
your number you will $500 with $500 going to the YMCA.
Golf outings and wedding receptions, anniversaries and graduation parties
are
filling up the banquet room during the summer months. We have two
weddings
taking place on the golf course as well.
I would like to send my apologies to all of you who were unable to open
the
January newsletter. My hopes are that computer glitch is now corrected and
you
can all open this one. Also, you can find my newsletters on the web
page
www.hickorysticksohio.comI will send you an
April calendar with all the specials
included as well as the events listed that will be printable for your convenience
in

as
well. If you have ideas on events you would like to share please let me know
and
